# Demonstration Notebooks: Demo Notebook

The _Demo Notebook_ is a simple {{Notebook}} designed to showcase all the essential features of {{FAIMS}}. It has two entities: _Thing 1_ and _Thing 2_.

**Thing 1** has several descriptive attributes and **Thing 2** an be related to Thing 1 and other Thing 2 records.

## Access the Demo Notebook

To access the {{Notebook}}, open the App on your {{ANDROID_APP_LINK}} or {{IOS_APP_LINK}} device, or your browser {{APP_URL}}, find and [activate](../data-collection/activating-notebooks.md) it.

If you are a new user or cannot see the {{Notebook}} in your **NOT ACTIVE** list, contact [support](../core/support.md).

## Create a Record

To add a new record for Thing 1, click **+ THING 1** in the top right of the screen and follow the prompts to enter data:

## Data editing and review

### Record Metadata

To review record metadata tap on the **INFO** tab on the saved record:

### Delete a Record

To delete a record, select <span class="material-icons">delete</span> **DELETE RECORD** from the **INFO** tab.

No records are ever deleted, they are simply hidden from view. It is possible to *undelete* records with the command line.
